Wild Warrandyte

In late 2019 ACPS was lucky to receive a Junior Landcare and Biodiversity Grant from the Victorian Government.

The funding allows students to learn about and even directly help threatened wildlife in Warrandyte.

COVID restrictions have prevented us from achieving some of the funded items. So we have produced a short film about Warrandyte’ s threatened wildlife and hope you will all enjoy it whilst in lock down.

The film is released on Threatened Species Day (7th of September) to raise awareness about wildlife at risk of extinction.

Threatened Species Day also commemorates the death of the last Tasmanian Tiger. We hope that other threatened species like the Powerful Owl, Brush-tailed Phascogale and Southern Toadlet can be protected before they also disappear.

ACPS students and families can all play a role in protecting these species.
