Parent Helpers

Parents are an integral part of our school community. At Anderson's Creek there are many opportunities to be part of your child's school community. These include sharing take home books, attending excursions, camps and sporting events.

Working Bees

Each Term parents and children are invited to participate on a Sunday Morning between 9-11am to work in our school grounds. Morning Tea is provided by the teachers.

Every class has an opportunity to be part of their level's annual Working Bee. Once a year we encourage our parents to attend a Working Bee to help with duties such as mulching, weeding, pruning, painting and general cleaning and maintenance. Reminders are sent out on Konnective and also printed in the newsletter.

Our Parents and Friends Group do a fabulous job organising fundraising events for the school. These have included the Father's and Mother's Day Stalls, the Bop till you Drop kids' disco, the Warrandyte Festival Stall and other whole school events.

Excursions and Camps

Throughout the year we conduct a number of excursions and camps across all levels.  We greatly value parents support in assisting in running these programs.

2019 Camps
Year 4 - Phillip Island
Year 5 - Maldon
Year 6 - Marysville

Swimming Carnival

Our year begins with the Grade
3-6 Swimming Carnival at Aquarena.  We greatly value parent assistance on this day.

Cross Country

In Term 2 helpers will also be needed for our whole school Cross Country which is held at the Warrandyte Football oval and surrounding areas.

Athletics Carnival

Our Athletics Carnival takes place in August each year at the George Street Reserve in East Doncaster. All children from Prep to Grade 6 actively participate. Parent helpers are always needed to help make the day a success.

Swimming Program

Every class participates in our swimming program during October - December.
Grade's 5 & 6 participate in a Surf Day at Phillip Island in term 4. Notices for our swimming program will be sent home in term 4 including information on parent helper requirements.
